Welcome to Academic Services
OCPS Academic Services equips school‑based student services professionals with the training, tools, and support needed to help every student graduate prepared for a thriving future. We partner with School Counselors, Assistant Principals of Instruction, and College & Career Specialists (HS only) to strengthen daily practice and ensure students have the guidance and readiness skills to graduate and pursue their postsecondary goals.
A Student Progression Plan is a set of policies and procedures that determine each student's progression from one grade to the next, in part based upon proficiency in reading, writing, science, and mathematics. The OCPS Student Progression Plan will be updated periodically to address changes in state law, policy, and the changing needs of our students and community among other reasons.

Apostille Seal
The Apostille Seal is required by some countries when a student enrolls at a post-secondary institution abroad. Please check with your institution to determine if this is needed.
The Florida Apostille Seal authenticates the signature, seal, or stamp of a Florida public official or notary public, making the document legally recognizable and accepted in another country. High schools order an official transcript for the student, then sign and date the transcript in the presence of a Notary who affixes their seal and signature on the document.
After the transcript has the necessary signatures and seals, the parents/guardians send the transcript to the State of Florida with payment. Information on how to complete the remaining steps is available on the Florida Department of State website.

Dual enrollment programs are established by Section 1007.271, Florida Statutes. They are educational options that allow secondary students to take postsecondary coursework while earning credits towards a high school diploma, career certificate, industry certification, or college degree.
OCPS offers academic dual enrollment courses through other post-secondary institutions. Each dual enrollment student will be responsible for following specific guidelines and policies of each post-secondary institution and OCPS policies, such as the Code of Student Conduct.
Career dual enrollment allows students to pursue an industry certification through courses that count as credits toward a high school diploma and a career certificate or industry certification. Career early admission is a form of career dual enrollment through which eligible secondary students enroll full-time in a career center, such as Orange County Technical College (OTC), or a Florida College System institution in postsecondary programs leading to industry certification.

In the CCRC, students can explore pathways aligned with their strengths and interests. They can learn about college, career training, military service, and other opportunities, ask questions, and get guidance tailored to their goals.
